Dwarka Expressway Gurgaon Section Nears Completion & Set to Open in November

The highly anticipated Dwarka Expressway, India's first elevated urban expressway, is nearing completion, with the Gurgaon section expected to open by the end of this month. This significant milestone marks a major step forward in alleviating traffic congestion and improving connectivity between Delhi and Gurugram.

The Gurgaon section of the expressway spans approximately 18.9 kilometers and is part of a larger 29-kilometer project that will connect Kherki Daula on NH-48 with Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur. The expressway's completion has been delayed from its original target of 2021 due to various challenges, including land acquisition issues and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the setbacks, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has made significant progress in recent months. The safety audit of the Gurgaon section is currently underway, and the authority is confident that the expressway will be ready for public use by the end of November.
